The NHL Vintage Season

It's 40th season of the NHL history.

Just finished the WWII and this season became the first for legendary Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe, who was a rookie for the Red Wings in this year, but not got his legendary #9 yet.

1946-47 season was the first for famous Detroit's "Production line" Gordie Howe, Sid Abel and Ted Lindsay.

Another great lines also dominated on ice in this era.

"The Kraut Line" of the Boston Bruins, Woody Dumart, Milt Schmidt, Bobby Bauer and "The Punch line" from Les Canadiens, Maurice "Rocket" Richard, Elmer Leach and Hector "Toe" Blake. All of them are future HHOF members and many others great players from rest teams included in rosters.
